Are you thinking about career in robotics but don’t know how to start? Do you want to know more about your opportunities? Great news! Oxford Summer School 2019 offers a two week robotics summer course for 16-18 year old pupils and Introduction to Robotics Programme for 13-15 years old pupils.
Robotics summer course for 16-18 year olds
The Summer Robotics Programme will take part at Balliol College (Oxford) on 7th–20th of July 2019 and 21st of July–3rd of August 2019. This robotics summer course will cover an overview of robotics and Arduino, will explain how to set up the hardware and software, and the main concepts of engineering and prototyping, and will teach how a robot moves through sensing and how to use motors to manage precise movements, manoeuvres and obstacle detection.
Robotics summer course for 13-15 years olds
Oxford Summer School also offers an Introduction to Robotics Programme for pupils aged 13-15 years old. This robotics summer course will take place at St. Hugh’s College on 21st of July–3rd of August 2019 and 4th-17th of August 2019. The Introduction to Robotics course will cover Raspberry Pi and single board computers, Phyton programming, self-driving cars and programmed robots.
In this robotics summer course pupils will acquire knowledge about setting up and testing the hardware and software, will get into several programming languages, including Raspberry Pi and Python, will learn about conditional programming, loops and statements, assembly of a robotic car, practical and theoretical elements of robotics and the ethics of robotics.
