GoStudent launches GoStudent Learning

GoStudent has announced the launch of GoStudent Learning – its AI-powered learning platform.

Proven to be twice as effective as traditional learning methods, GoStudent Learning empowers students to take control of their education, granting them 24/7 access to Amelia, GoStudent’s curriculum-trained AI tutor, as well as engaging quizzes and content that adapts in real-time to their level and need.

GoStudent Learning is the latest AI-powered release from GoStudent, marking significant progress towards the company’s goal of creating an AI-powered classroom that empowers tutors and maximises learning outcomes for students.

In August 2023 GoStudent raised $95M to bolster its hybrid and AI offering. GoStudent’s first step towards the AI-powered classroom came shortly after, with the launch of an AI lesson planner, enabling tutors to create tailored lesson plans in a matter of seconds. The company also introduced AI lesson transcripts and an AI Assist feature. With the AI-enabled classroom taking care of admin, tutors are able to focus fully on fostering human connections with their students – something AI cannot replace.

Around the clock classroom with AI tutor Amelia

The GoStudent Future of Education Report 2024 found that more than 1 in 2 students want to learn with AI. GoStudent’s AI tutor, Amelia, answers this cry for innovation, offering students a fun, interactive and tech-driven way to learn.

Understanding the importance of the human connection, access to Amelia is only possible when a student is also taking in-person lessons with a GoStudent tutor. There to support in the windows between tutoring sessions, Amelia offers around-the-clock access to revision materials, detailed explanations, and homework assistance. Trained on carefully selected learning courses, Amelia can process and respond to complex queries and scan homework for instant feedback, guiding students with precision. This continuous support system is designed to enhance confidence and reduce the stress associated with challenging learning tasks.

Adaptive online learning for the digital native

GoStudent Learning’s smart algorithm personalises the learning experience by analysing individual performance and habits, dynamically adjusting content in real time to match the challenge needed for each student. This adjustment ensures that quizzes and practice questions are always at the right level.

The platform draws on cognitive neuroscience principles, including retrieval practice, interleaving, and spacing. This approach not only deepens understanding but also enhances the retention of information, directly contributing to the doubling of learning efficiency.

GoStudent plans to continue harnessing AI to build up its AI Classroom further. Felix Ohswald, CEO and Co-Founder of GoStudent, comments: “AI is a crucial tool for bolstering the impact of human tutors and empowering students to learn in the way that best suits them. We are transitioning from providing an online classroom to an AI powered classroom, harnessing technology that helps tutors drive more impact and students unlock their full potential.”

In the first instance, it appears this approach is working. A secondary school student who tried GoStudent Learning ahead of its European launch comments: “I used GoStudent Learning and found it really helped me. I’ve always hated using flashcards for revision as I’ve found them to be really passive, so using GoStudent Learning was far better as the short activities kept me engaged and actively learning.”

GoStudent Learning is available as an add-on to GoStudent tutoring memberships for new and existing customers in UK, DACH, ES, IT and FR, with pricing set at £14.90 per month. To experience the positive impact of self-guided study between tutoring sessions, GoStudent offers new and existing customers a 30-day free trial of GoStudent Learning.
