Become a Manufacturing Engineering Apprentice at GE Power

As an apprentice at Power Conversion, you will join an Advanced Apprenticeship Programme in GE Power’s manufacturing and engineering department.

GE Power Conversion is at the forefront of the engineering sector within the UK’s Green economy. It specialises in the design and production of cutting-edge systems and equipment aimed at spearheading the decarbonisation efforts in the United Kingdom. By joining this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future and actively contributing to the fight against climate change.

Apprentices follow a four-year training scheme, the first of which is spent at a college. During this year candidates can expect to gain a thorough grounding in the key areas required for a career in modern engineering.

In the following three years you will work in various manufacturing and engineering disciplines within both the manufacturing and engineering departments while the company works together to tailor the ideal career path for you .

You will work closely with experienced mentors and be part of team and be working on real systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to earn while attaining a recognised qualification!

Successful candidates will be expected to have a minimum of a grade 5 or above in English, Maths and either a Science or Technology based subject.
