The AI Index team have released their annual AI Index Report 2018. Conducting their study across a variety of different fields, and includes growing research activity in the field of AI, industrial achievements, start-ups and investments, jobs openings, registered patents, robotic software downloads, open software project statistics and other significant information.
The report shows the global representation of AI research and implementation, and it tracks technical progress in different regions on a daily basis. The US and China opportunities are growing significantly, while European universities are also performing notably.
Student Circuit has aggregated some of the numbers from the report and compiled them into an infographic which offers an overview of course enrolment trends, job openings and international conference attendances within last few years in AI, ML and other AI related branches.
