Every student should use these tools to make studying easier

At Student Circuit we understand the difficulties of being a student and balancing studying with your social life. Juggling your workload, exams and coursework with a social life can be tricky.  We want to make your time as a student as smooth running as possible. Here, we round up five of the best learning tools that every student should utilise.

Forest

With more distractions than ever in today’s world, Forest allows you to stay focused the most important things in life. It can be used to stop you reaching for your phone when attempting to study. The app allows you to set the amount of time that you would like to remain focused for, and plants a tree. If you complete this time, the tree grows, however leaving the app halfway will cause the tree to die. Forest partners Trees for the Future, planting real trees around the planet. When app users spend virtual coins on planting real trees, Forest donates to Trees for the Future.

Quizlet

Holding the belief that anyone can learn anything, Quizlet is a learning tool, giving students access to flashcards, an AI learning assistant, and expert explanations. You can use the ready-made study sets from other students, and Quizlet itself, or create your own. On the app, you can go through your flashcards, mixed with other smart study tools, and learn the content to be able to ace any test.

Simple Mind

If you’re a visual learner, Simple Mind might be the studying tool for you. It allows you to organise your thoughts, memorise information and generate new ideas. You can use one of the already created auto layouts, or place topics anywhere you like.

Your university/school/college portal

It might sound obvious, but if you aren’t already utilising your university/school/college portal you are missing out on valuable resources. From resources to study from, past practice questions, reading material and information about assignments, your portal should be your go to for information to aid your studying. Also, make use of your lecturers and teachers, ensuring they are your first port of call with any problems, or if you need help clarifying any topics.
